The 2019 LAOH Irish History essay contest is now open for students grades 6-12.  Contest rules and information are availble - click here. Write to an Irish POW:  At the ceremony for the 38th Commemoration of the 1981 Hungerstrike, which took place on October 5th in Hartford, CT those attending the service were asked to send Christmas cards to those on this list.  Your thoughtfulness can go a long way to let them know they are remembered.

Congratulations to AOH member Liam Smith who received the Patrick Hegarty Award 2019 from the John Boyle O’Reilly Club on Easter April 21st for selfless dedication to the cause of Irish Freedom.  Congratulations Liam!

Congratulations to the 2019 Man/Woman of the Year:  JD Watson and Kim Gaughan.  Awards were presented at our annual Irish Night - Saturday, February 23rd.  Both well deserved recipients.
